Thank you for your kind words @JillianZ and @Rachel! To extend the gratitude, I am very appreciative to Sean for creating the community and to every member that contributes and shares here. I live a pretty quiet life in Sweden and have a few friends with similar interests, but it is so nice to have a collective of people here that are also exploring these topics as they apply to their own lives.
It feels as though this community came at a really great time. 2020 has stirred up so much all around the world and so it is so nourishing to have a place like this to share and seek support. A few months ago I deactivated my Facebook account simply because it wasn't nourishing me (in fact, it was doing the opposite). I am so grateful for the respect and compassion that everyone here offers, which goes to show that it is possible to have different views or perspectives and still be able to connect with one another's humanity. I am grateful!
Sometimes I find that I accidentally swipe backwards in a weird way while mid-post and my screen takes me back to the main forum. Sometimes, when I return to the text box where I wanted to make my post, the content is still there. This isn't always the case though - sometimes I need to start from scratch.
One thing you could do if the wifi cuts in and out often is to type your response in a Word document and then paste and post when you're ready.
Thank you for sharing @Mary Sweeney! Today I am finding joy by cultivating gratitude for my cozy and safe home and for slow Sundays. I am going to clean up this afternoon, which normally I am a bit resistant too but today I feel inspired. I'll probably play some music and dance my way through it.
I agree with you both about the concern/questions about robots possessing consciousness. The AI predicament can certainly stir feelings of anxiety and nervousness in me.
Daniel - I think this is a really great question. With this in mind, I thought I would just mention that Rupert Spira holds online sessions these days (I think once a week, but maybe not quite that often). The one that I joined in a couple of months ago had a Q&A period, which could be a great place to raise your question. You can find more about it on his website if you're interested. 🙂
