  1. Hi Gillian Thanks for your reply. I'm currently on Day 18 of your 100 day Mindfulness Challenge and enjoy doing the daily meditations. I really look forward to them as they start off my day perfectly. I was introduced to mindfulness by my Private Health Fund in Australia, to a web and app-based meditation program developed by psychologists and educators called Smiling Mind. I learnt so much from that and wanted to do more and I found your website. So far so good, but I know I need to keep motivated and committed and to keep learning as I don't want to get back to my old habit of not being able to control my runaway thoughts and emotions. I have learned these meditations help me to appreciate the present moment more and that it's no point worrying about the future or getting stuck in the past. You have a great day. Regards Rhonda
  2. Hello forum members. I am new to forums but joining this one seems a good idea as I am very interested in the concept of mindfulness to help settle my emotions, stress and anxiety. I have been doing a meditation once per day for about the last 6 weeks and already am noticing a bit of difference with clearer thinking and I also seem to be a bit more relaxed. I am a definite believer in the positive effect of meditation and plan to persevere and incorporate this into my life. I am retired, love nature and animals and enjoy learning about the universe and all things science and space.
  3. Thank you Sean for the e-book “Finding the Missing Peace” by Ajahn Amaro. This book has given me much valuable insight into the practices of mindfulness and meditation, and I feel more equipped in working towards my goal of an ongoing "state of calm". I love his straight talking style of writing and his quirky sense of humour!
